SXSW Panel – Creating Brand Engagement with an Integrated Hashtag Campaign at the National Civic Summit
August 21, 2009
Description
The National Civic Summit (www.nationalcivicsummit.com), presented by Target and the Citizens League, used several innovative social media tactics including an integrated Hashtag Campaign including a Live National Tweetup with Grammy Award Winning Artist Dan Wilson and a Live Webcast of our country’s first CTO Aneesh Chopra. Our panel will share the campaign strategy highlights, video, photo, and live experiential technology examples to bring to live this creative use of the Hashtag to engage event and civic participation. See our primary Twitter account for a quick overview @civicsummit09.

Hey SXSW -ers, yes, that’s you if you are planning on going to the 2010 version of this must attend interactive mecca. We would love to be able to share our fun and innovative panel with you… so we need your vote on the SXSW Panel Picker site.
Okay, if you haven’t been there yet, brace yourself, there are over 2000 presentations to go through- YIKES! Hard to sneak through on your work break right? We know, so we had our friends at Inetium created a cool geo map portal to make the process fun, and it also shares with you a snapshot of the cool technology we are integrating into our social media campaigns- the kind of stuff you will see in our panel if we get to present it as SXSWi. (hear the bribe there?)
So the long and the short of it is this- if you are planning to vote on the sxsw Panel Picker tool, why not have a little bit of fun before, during or after your eyes start crossing from the 70+ pages of potential panel listings and go to www.pickrpanel.com and streamline your search… you can also have a bit of fun, by popping yourself into our geo map in real time by opening a separate window- tweeting with our #civicsummit hashtag and see yourself live on our site- COOL huh? A bit like real time Vanity License plates ![]()
More to come about the who’s and what’s of our panel- in the meantime- enjoy the GEO fun at www.pickrpanel.com & feel free to retweet it to your friends if you get a little laugh from it!
